Radio Shack plans to close nearly 200 of its remaining 1,500 stores, according to its latest filing.

It’s the end of the road for local RadioShack stores.

Following a bankruptcy announcement in March, RadioShack is in the process of shutting down stores nationwide. Seven of those stores are here in Brevard — and all seven have either already closed up shop or will in the coming months.

Three stores have officially closed: a Cocoa Beach store, located on State Road A1A; a Melbourne store located in the Winn-Dixie plaza off A1A and East Eau Gallie Boulevard; and a Melbourne store, located on South Babcock Street. Four stores remain open, but are liquidating inventory. Those stores include: Titusville (Columbia Boulevard), Cocoa (State Road 524), Melbourne (Wickham Road) and Palm Bay (South Babcock Street).

Store closing signs drape across the entrances of the remaining stores, advertising sales of up to 80 percent off retail prices.

“Everything must go,” signs read.
