Downtown Sioux Falls Inc. wants to help businesses in the city’s core extend hours and retail space through a new micro-finance loan program.
The program, announced Wednesday, will offer loans ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to existing downtown businesses.
The loans can also help businesses who experience a loss of revenue due to natural disasters, property damage or interruptions of utility services.
That will help businesses survive cold winters like that in 2016, which kept more holiday shoppers at home said DTSF Inc. President Joe Batcheller.
