TOMS RIVER — An application to build 141 apartment units and 32,000-square-foot commercial building on Route 9 is expected to be considered by the Planning Board at the July 5 meeting.

The applicant, 1606 Lakewood Road, LLC, plans to build the commercial building on the northeast corner of the property, while the 141 apartment units would be constructed in nine buildings on the western portion of the property, according to planning documents.

The 34-acre site where the development is proposed is located at 1580 Lakewood Road (Route 9), near Sunset Avenue.
