Retail study findings gave Midland City Council members and staff insight Tuesday into target retailers for the area.
The Fort-Worth based company Buxton identified 20 retail concepts to target within a year. The concepts included nine restaurant, five general retail, two apparel, two grocery and two entertainment options.
Antoine Long, account manager, said the company’s methodology included analyzing consumer profiles, drive time and retail market conditions. The “primary focus points for retail development” included: downtown; Interstate 20 and State Highway 349; Midland Park Mall; and Loop 250 and State Highway 191.
