Hull-based wholesaler, Young’s Foods has joined the Fairway Foodservice buying group, as part of its plans to double its turnover in the next two years.

The family-owned company is in the middle of an ambitious growth strategy that has also seen the company extend its premises and recruit new members of staff.

Young’s, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, will officially become Fairway’s 20th member on September 1.

And Dave Young (pictured above), founder and managing director of Young’s, which has a turnover of £2.5m and employs 15, sees the move as a key step in achieving its business objectives.
