Now 14, Eastern Greene student BJ Yoho has lived a life of love. In his ninth year of collecting and delivering toys and cash donations to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, the high school freshman will have a little assistance this year, provided by local restaurant Pizza Hut.

On Aug. 22, two of the restaurant’s locations in Greene County will participate in B.J.Yoho Day by donating up to 20 percent of customer purchases to Yoho in order to benefit the fundraising activities his alter ego, “B.J. Claus”.

In 2012, the town of Bloomfield proclaimed Aug. 22 as “B.J. Yoho Day”. The town council, during a special assembly held at Eastern Greene Elementary, declared the day as official and renewable each year.

Yoho was also recognized at the special assembly by Riley Children’s Foundation as the 2012 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Champion for Indiana.
